12-2 Hackettstown's hometown holiday

December 5, 2008, starting at 7 PM is Hackettstown's 3rd Annual Hometown Holiday Event which is free and open to the public.

This event promises to be a great photo op and we request to have a journalist and photographer with us that night to capture those moments of our Holiday Parade, pictures with Santa for the kids, Mayor Lavery lighting our tree at the Gazebo, as well as ongoing fun and excitement throughout the evening.  There will be Shopping 'til Midnight offering opportunities for die-hard holiday shoppers to stay in town and get a jump on their shopping list.

7 pm Holiday Parade, with a large representation of groups and  marching bands, starts at  the corner of Warren and Washington Streets and ends at the Gazebo on Main Street.
8 pm Tree Lighting at the Gazebo and pictures with Santa at the Moore Street Firehouse.

During the event, the Store Front Holiday Decoration judging will take place.  Voting forms will be handed out to all who attend the event and the top three Holiday Window Displays will be awarded.
