Mount Olive Rocks! Local bands to perform at festival

Several local rock bands are gearing up to perform at the Community Rock Festival and Carnival in Mount Olive, New Jersey. The show’s roster features such top-talent bands as Alamance, Of Fate and Chance, Phoenix Down, Cootie Shot, Vampire for Hire, Wet Bandit, Falls First Fire and Cityscape Activist.
The bands are set to provide family-friendly entertainment with an adrenaline-pumping rock sound that will undoubtedly energize any audience. They will each perform a rousing 20-minute set featuring some of their most popular songs accompanied by attention-grabbing stage performances.
Included in the night’s lineup is nationally renowned band, Alamance. Alamance have appeared on MTV’s TRL Back to School special with Fall Out Boy and performed with such artists as All-American Rejects and My Chemical Romance. The band also has a full summer concert schedule including performances on the Vans Warped tour for a second year in a row. Also scheduled to play is emo-rock band, Of Fate and Chance. This critically acclaimed band has received rave reviews from media outlets such as Hybrid Magazine and IndieMusic.com and has experienced much success with their latest EP. The Mount Olive Rock Festival and Carnival will be held on Friday, July 27 at Turkey Brook Park.
The music will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the bands will perform until 10:30pm
The Rock Festival is part of the Mount Olive Community Day celebration, which lasts from Thursday, July 26 until Sunday, July 29. This four-day celebration will also feature carnival rides, games, pony rides, contests, face painting, food and vendors of all kinds. Wristbands are $15, $20 after July 27.
