Fatal Valentine’s Day Crash Shuts Down Loop 410 North Near Highway 151
A deadly crash at 4:30 a.m. shut down Loop 410 North. A Ford pickup and a Chevrolet Trailblazer collided; the Ford then struck an unoccupied building. The 51-year-old Ford driver was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

A 36-year-old driver allegedly struck two pedestrians in a parking lot after a disturbance, killing 37-year-old Bryan Brown and critically injuring a 44-year-old man. The driver fled but was located nearby and found to be intoxicated. He was charged with intoxication manslaughter.

Major Crash Shuts Down I-35 Near New Braunfels Avenue After Vehicle Hits Guardrail and Road Sign

63-Year-Old Woman Killed Walking Home From Store on Roosevelt Avenue – Dragged Nearly a Block
Josefina Morales Villarreal, 63, was hit and dragged by a pickup truck while walking home from a neighborhood store. The driver said he did not see her. Neighbors and family called for lower speed limits and increased safety measures on the corridor.

19-Year-Old Charged With Manslaughter After I-35 Crash Kills Five and Injures Fifteen
Ethan Michael Gonzales, 19, was arrested and charged with five counts of manslaughter and five counts of hit and run causing death after a multi-vehicle crash that killed five people and seriously injured 15 others. Additional felony charges are pending.

Street Racer on I-10 Causes Major Crash, Critically Injures 33-Year-Old Driver
Two BMW drivers were racing on I-10 around 11:30 p.m. when one struck a Nissan, causing it to flip multiple times. The 33-year-old Nissan driver was critically injured. Both BMW drivers were arrested and charged with racing causing serious bodily injury.

Mother and Two Young Sons Killed When 18-Wheeler Rear-Ends Stalled Pickup on I-10 Near Comfort
Giselle Cristobal, 23, and her sons Angel, 4, and Raul, 3, were killed when a fully-loaded 18-wheeler rear-ended their stalled pickup truck at full speed. Two other passengers survived. A wrongful death lawsuit was filed. Dashcam video from a following trucker was turned over to investigators.
